Fishing update (What's New?)

2010 Update

Whats up everybody?  Sorry for the lack of updates over the winter, but there
just was not too much to  update.  The fishing and weather in NC was pretty bad
this winter, as a matter of fact it was the worst Giant Bluefin Season that
anyone can remember.  I had a few bites, but it just lacked the magnitude of
previous years.  The good news is that the medium sized Bluefin and Yellowfin
have already shown up off of Hatteras, so I am hoping for a good tuna season
here in OC.

The boat is back at OCFC already, and we are just waiting on the arrival of
bluefish to kick off the season.  I am guessing we should see the choppers arrive
in the beginning of May.   There is a new tournament in town for 2010, and it is
scheduled for Memorial Day weekend.  It is the first annual OC Marlin Club
Bluefish Tournament,a nd it benefits the Catherine and Charles Kratz Memorial
Fund (a charity that provides for the needs of our men and women in uniform).
We are available for this tourney, and I hope to start the tournament season off
with a win!!

We are also available for the shark tournaments and the White Marlin Open.
Give me a call if you have any interest in fishing a tournament.

On a non-Last Call related issue, I have accepted a position working at a lodge in
Guatemala next February.  There is incredible sailfish and marlin action in
Guatemala that time of year, so I am really looking forward to it.  There is also
exceptional mahi fishing and near shore rooster fish.  I can discuss packages with
any of you that are interested in going international next winter.

One final note- the new Last Call T-shirts are in, featuring everyone's favorite
Reaper, and his pals Chokey the Chicken and Spanky the Monkey!!  We are
selling the old design for $15 and the new design for $20.  Stop by and check
out the new stuff!!!

We have plenty of dates available, so please, stop by, shoot me an email, or give
me a call and i will rig you up with the trip of a lifetime!!

Keep checking back for more reports.

Hope to see you soon,

Capt. Franky
