Fishing update (What's New?)
Happy New Year Everyone!!!
After much thought we decided not to travel down the coast in search of Giant
Bluefin Tuna this year so the Last Call is in dry dock for the first time since
2004. We will be launching the boat sometime in late March or early April and
we will begin chasing bottom fish and blues out of OC.
We are enjoying a mild winter so far this year and that usually means good tuna
fishing come spring/summer. The past few years have had a dynamite bite in late
May and early June so we will be ready for them!!!
2011 was a good season for the Last Call crew. We took third place in the
overall billfish standings for 35 to 46 foot boats in the Ocean City Marlin Club.
The top recreational angler for the year was Brooke Duvall, who has been fishing
with us since the mid 90's!!! Congratulations to Brooke on a great season. We
also had some other firsts this year. Brooke's grandson Andrew caught his first
white marlin and Eliza (6) and Hunter (9) Howe came all the way to OC from
Maine to catch their first bluefin tunas!!! Overall it was a great season with lots
of tuna and marlin action.
We are available for the 2012 White Marlin Open and the Mid Atlantic
500,000. Over the past few years the marlin fishing has been getting better
and better in OC and I do not want to miss the chance on winning the big
tourneys. Please call for details.
